Murals and wall painting
Tell us about your wall. We pair it with the right partner studio and run the job from first sketch to last coat, anywhere in New York City, across the state, or along the East Coast.

Our partner studios
We partner with some of the best mural design companies in the New York region and across the state, ready to get any job you need done.
You deal with one team at Velora from the first call to the final walk-through. We match each wall to the studio whose style fits it, so a graffiti piece goes to graffiti artists and a hand-lettered menu goes to a sign painter.
If customers, members, or guests can see it, it can carry a mural. Each kind of space needs something different from the wall:
Click a photo or a name to see it larger. Photos show the kinds of spaces, not finished murals.
Most projects are in New York City and on Long Island. Our partner studios also take on walls across New York State and along the East Coast. If your area is not listed, ask, and we will tell you right away whether a studio can reach your wall.

Two walls the same size can cost very different amounts once style, surface, and height come into it. So every job starts with a free consultation, and you get a written quote before any work begins. These are the things that move the number.
Square footage sets the starting point. More wall means more paint and more hours.
A two-color graphic paints faster than a photo-real portrait. Fine detail adds time.
Each added color means more mixing and more layers on the wall.
Smooth drywall is close to ready. Brick, raw concrete, glass, and damaged walls need cleaning, patching, or primer first.
A ladder job is simpler than one that needs scaffolding or a lift. Shelving or equipment in the way adds setup.
A clear coat or anti-graffiti layer is worth it on outdoor and high-traffic walls.
Painting at night or on the days you are closed keeps you open, and gets planned in from the start.
Size up your wall
Figure shown at 5 ft 9 in for scale.
A call, a video walk-through, or a visit to the space. We look at the wall, get measurements and photos, and talk through what it should say.
We match your wall to the partner studio whose style fits it. You get a concept direction and a written quote with the timeline.
The design is shown on a photo of your actual wall. You ask for changes until it is right, and nothing is painted before you approve it.
The crew preps the wall, paints it, and adds a protective coat where it makes sense. You get a walk-through and care notes at the end.
Tell us about the wall and what you would like on it. A rough idea is enough. We reply within one business day to set up the consultation.

Have a wall in mind?
There is no flat price, because it depends on the wall. Size, style, the number of colors, surface prep, height, and coatings all change the number. After the free consultation you get a written quote. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and the design can be scaled to fit it with fewer colors, a simpler style, or a smaller area.
A mural is any large artwork painted straight onto a wall, in any style. A graffiti wall is a mural done in graffiti style: spray-painted lettering, characters, and bold color. Both are commissioned art, and both are legal when the building owner agrees to them.
It depends on size and detail. A single accent wall in a simple style can be painted in a day or two, while a large, detailed wall can take a week or more. You get the schedule in writing with your quote, before any work starts.
In most cases, yes. The work area is taped off and covered, and painting can be scheduled early, late, or on the days you are closed. For spaces that stay busy, low-odor paint options are part of the consultation.
Usually, yes. Most leases need the landlord to sign off before anyone paints, and the design mockup is often what gets that approval. If a permanent mural is not allowed, the art can be painted on panels or canvas and mounted, so it can move with you.
Drywall, brick, concrete, cinder block, wood, and primed metal all work. Glass and very slick surfaces need special primers, or a panel mural instead. The consultation includes a look at the wall, and any cleaning, patching, or priming is written into the quote.
Most indoor murals only need an occasional wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap once the paint has fully cured, which takes about three to four weeks. Outdoor and high-traffic walls usually get a clear protective coat, and an anti-graffiti coating makes tags easier to clean off. You get care notes at the hand-off.
Yes. Send your logo files and brand guide, and the paint is mixed to your brand colors. A logo wall or painted sign can be its own job or part of a larger mural.
Yes. Outside walls and storefronts need the building owner to approve them, and some need city approval as well, depending on the city and what the mural shows. We check what applies to your address during the consultation.
Inside your space, usually not, though your lease and building rules still apply. Outside, two things matter. If the wall carries a commercial message, such as your business name or products, the Department of Buildings can treat it as an advertising sign, which has its own zoning and permit rules. If the building is a landmark or sits in a historic district, the Landmarks Preservation Commission usually has to approve the mural first. We check both for your address during the consultation.
It often helps, and cities have used murals against tagging for decades: Philadelphia's Mural Arts program started in 1984 as part of the city's Anti-Graffiti Network. No wall is tag-proof, so outdoor murals also get an anti-graffiti clear coat that lets new tags wash off without damaging the art.
It gives people a reason to post. A wall customers photograph puts your name in their feeds, and photos of it belong on your Google Business Profile, where people choose local businesses. Velora also runs local marketing, so we can add the finished mural to your profile and posts.
Both. Accent walls, color blocking, stripes, arches, and full repaints for offices, shops, and studios are part of the service, and they are quoted the same way as a mural.
Yes. Send the drawings, renderings, or finish schedule, and the mural is planned to fit the design and the construction timeline.
